"Global inside: advanced producer service companies, regions, and globalization"

In my research I question the idea of unified and unifying globalization. Global service companies are usually described as brokers of globalization, simplifying the conditions for doing global businesses. In my research I reveal how local circumstances impact the strategies of the global service companies and address the interconnection between the global and local scales. I use the case of the former USSR region to demonstrate how the world is neither ‘borderless’ nor ‘unified’ during globalization.
