I am focusing on neuroimaging techniques to investigate brain function in relation to meditative practices in neurodegenerative disease, and the gut-brain-microbiota axis in disorders such as IBS, in an effort to better understand the interplay between physiological and cognitive mechanisms in disease states. Particular areas of interest include brain-gut-microbiota interactions as well as the neural correlates behind successful therapeutic cognitive interventions such as hypnotherapy and meditation. In 2020, Rozalyn joined the leadership team of the Forum Scientium graduate research school at Linköping University

I am a electro-physiologist at Linköping University, and I just started on my PhD about why women and men have different risks to suffer from arrhythmia - or more precise: how sex hormones can affect a tiny potassium ion channel sitting in the membrane of the heart muscle. My work shows me how important every gear is. I feel it is very important to communicate our ideas and enthusiasm about the research we are doing and to connect with different people - you never know what gears can be set in motion. Which is why I am very excited to participate at this years Pint of Science.

I am an Immunologist doing my postdoctoral research at the Department of Biomedical and Clinical Sciences, Linköping University. I am currently investigating the immune response profile focussing on vaccine development for SARS-CoV2 and influenza. I have done my Ph.D. from the University of Calcutta, India, and have done two Masters’; in Zoology and in Applied Psychology. I have teaching experience for more than five years at Jadavpur University and Ramkrishna Mission Vidyamandira College, India.
It's always a great opportunity to share scientific thoughts, ideas and to discuss with a broad range of public audiences. I am interested in science outreach activities, scientific communications, and organizing events. I am excited to be a part of the hosting committee for the upcoming Pint of Science event at Linköping.

I am a Ph.D. student curious about how our environment can influence not only us, but also our future generation. Besides that, I love learning about research on social media and I am passionate about making science more approachable for everyone
